BABY Healthy - Part2

Your baby's delicate immune system isn't fully developed like yours. Take a few extra steps to keep your baby healthy.
1.Avoid germs. This means keeping baby away from someone who has an obvious cold and away from crowded areas during the first six weeks of life. Also try to dissuade people from grabbing at your tiny baby's hands in greeting. People love to do this and babies first comforting place for their hands is their mouth. Obvious conflict.
2. Wash your hands often. This may mean a lot of lotion but washing your hands and having anyone who will be handling baby wash their hands before picking up your baby is a good idea. Alternatively have a bottle of hand cleaner handy.
3.Avoid smoke. Smoke is good for no one especially not your baby. This means all kinds of smoke. Allergies and breathing problems for children can come from being early exposed to cigarette smoke, exhaust fumes and the like.
4. If you are breast feeding your baby and food allergies run in your family watch what you eat. If your baby also has a food allergy what you eat may affect him or her.
5.Make sure your baby gets good restful sleep. Constant upsets in your baby's schedule could make them irritable, unable to settle down and exhausted from too little sleep. Work up a schedule for your baby based on their eating and sleeping habits and try to keep things as regular as possible.
These simple steps can help keep your baby safe during the first few weeks of life. :)
